I worked alongside the folks at NTROPIC to deliver a graphics package for Google’s 2017 hardware launch. We crafted playful visuals drawing inspiration from Google’s branding and their Assistant icon.
Visual Development
We started with style frames that were fun, dynamic and engaging. The scale of the dots is a nod to Google Assistant, dynamically moving across each screen, bringing to life beautifully designed products.
Technical Requirements
This project was particularly challenging because we had to render the graphics to six separate outputs: three wide screens, two vertical screens, and one single output for the livestream on Youtube. The animation had to play seamlessly between all displays.
Animation had to be composed in an ultra wide format and exported across five different screens for the live event.
We used this stage mockup in After Effects to understand where the animation would fit on each respective screen.
The final graphics appeared in the online broadcast and at the live event in San Francisco.
